Google Talk

Update:
argh.... I have to regretfully take back my words here... this thing is faar too primitive to even deserve a public trial... no emoticons, no file transfer :(. I am back to good ol' Yahoo & MSN.

Its finally here. Something I have been wishing and to a certain extent expecting - an instant messenger from Google. Lets see if it can be the killer-app for MSN/Yahoo/Skype put together. That is saying a lot, but then can we expect anything less from G?

Carve 'em up

Sourav Ganguly has decided that he needs to make some runs. Good. After all this is Zimbabwe coming up for crying out loud. The ducks are sitting tight, ready to be carved up - but wait... is it too much for us to assume victory over a team ranked just a couple of places below us? Hmm.... something to think about, skipper.

School is in session

Exactly a month after leaving work, I am back at school. Frenzied shopping, flooded airports, missed connecting flights, a meticulous search for roomies and a relatively easier search for an apartment, plus a surprise trip to the Grand Canyon - this month has been a tad above the ordinary.
Classes for Fall 2005 begin in a few hours and I am readying myself for some heavy fundae in Combinatorial Algorithms & Intractability. And although I have the faintest of ideas about what to expect, Algorithms somehow seem to be the pious topic to start off studies once again.
